Twitch and still writing

Been busy!   Still writing my novel in month and trying hard not to run out of steam, about 24,600 words in now.   BTW copy and pasting between google docs and word is a mess, ruins a lot of very simple formatting, oay.  Here's an extract from when our heroes are entering into 1950's Hell's Kitchen  (old swamp rust and green meanie are names of cars):

Cassie gave her a slight smile without looking at Genie directly “I’m okay, ya have to stay cool, we are being watched.  Don’t look out the window directly, play it cool.  Trust me.” 

 Genie carefully looked out the side window without turning her head and didn’t see or feel anyone watching them. She spotted a group of kids playing stick ball on a passing street, unworried about the fingers of wind carrying light snow around them.  She quickly eyeballed the brown, red and tan brick buildings that were mostly four or five story walkups, they looked sad and worn, but nothing seemed unusual.  Then suddenly Genie felt claustrophobic, as the street seemed to narrow and buildings started to close in, blocking the sun.

“Ya feel it, don’t ya?”  Cassie said still not looking at her. 

Genie nodded and was aware of a tumbleweed made from garbage was keeping pace with the car, chasing it.  She wanted the sunglasses and scarf back to hide behind them.  Looking at Cassie’ posture out of the corner of her eye, Genie resisted the urge to slump down in her seat.    Genie than caught a glimpse of parked vehicles, all looking worse in condition than old swamp rust had been and realized that green meanie was a parade float going down the street.  And yet other than the kids a block back, there was no one on the street, it was quiet, haunted.

 “I thought New York was busy” Genie whispered to herself, Cassie not hearing her did not answer.

Coming soon is our latest twitch play, you can find it here http://drevrpg.blogspot.ca/ as always when it comes up.   It prompted me to think more about putting more 'rule bends' in to DRev as we explore the possibility of our own proprietary system or hacking ever further away from standard d20.

It also prompted me, with huge influence of my fellow players to do a fake album cover for our groups/bands official name:  Tactical Corpse.   Here they are (thank you Inkscape, cheap and awesome as always):

 Front Cover:  seeing I should have done black border around it.   So much easier getting good fantasy stuff.  Tried a new transparency creator called Transparent PNG creator off the MS Store front on win 10.  It was okayish, but didn't quite get rid of some of the overlay, hence why the moon looks a bit dull; but otherwise I'm very pleased.



Back Cover:  fake song titles based on some of our adventures to date, watch the twitch see if you can spot some of them.   OH snap I forgot one and don't have room for it:  Hamsters in Cage.  Oh well we can put that as lyrics for one of the songs "all I am is a hamster in a cage."   Although we have not fought a King Manitcore, we're only level 1!  Only like 3/4 of million Xp before we might be close to ready for one of those.   We'll chalk that up to delusions of future grandeur.

Does anyone under the age 30 know what a EP is!  Wow I'm old!  Also would have killed to get a bonus Ep with an LP back in the day.
